This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    5720 TV tuner no longer offered

    I just saw a post on DiscountLaptops.com's message board about the TV tuner option on the 5720. Apparently, terchnical difficulties make it impossible for the digital tuner to work in N. American 5720 machines. The analog tuner works fine. DL.com will be contacting 5720 owners who got the TV tuner to see if they want the analog or a refund for the tuner's price.

    I didn't get the TV tuner because I just got a Slingbox. :p :cool:

    Hm, that is interesting...I think it's the same tuner that was optional for my laptop. Good thing I haven't ordered it yet.
