I just installed Vista Home Premium yesterday (Thank for the free copy Microsoft Expertzone :)) so I though I would keep you guys posted on the current status of it running on the 5760.

    System
    ------

    Core Duo T2500 2.0 Ghz
    2GB RAM
    Geforce Go 7900GTX 512MB

    What Works
    ----------

    Bisoncam

Installed the vista driver from sagernotebook.com and works fine

    Lifeview TV Tuner

Installed the vista driver from sagernotebook.com and it works. I have only tested it using mediaportal.

    Wifi

Vista found the driver during the installation

    Nvidia

Beta driver from sagernotebook.com works but doesn't have some features like adapter scaling etc... but it works fine.

    Sound

Installed driver from sagernotebook.com and working

    Performance
    -----------

I was a little concerned as people have said there is a large drop in gaming performance but I installed Battlefield 2 and could run it with everything on full without any issues. Note that I haven't tested any other games yet. As for the dual core aspect, I have a CPU/Memory indicator on my desktop which shows both cores and their utilization and it seems that both cores are being used fairly evenly in vista out of the box which is a good thing.

    Conclusion
    ----------

Everything I have tested seems to be working now so if you have been waiting for this then go ahead and install vista. For gaming maybe wait until more games and benchmarking has been done on the 5760 but so far i'm happy with it's performance. Note that I haven't tested the SD card reader yet.

Glad to hear everything worked out perfectly for you!

I've heard of the Nvidia drivers crashing in the middle of Bf2142, and so i guess yours work!

    Grats :)

I too have been running vista with no hickups. I am using the ultimate edition and it works great. I have found that the vista drivers from here: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm work great with the touchpad.

I'm thinking of throwing Business on mine today. The only worry is that over @ NBF, I've seen people complaining about lack of BlueTooth support from Vista. I'm not really bothered if the webcam is a bit lacking (per other threads, but it sounds like you're going ok), but BT being disabled would be a problem. I'm taking it that you don't have BT?

Good to hear that everything is going smoothly. Did you do a full install or upgrade?

I'm not using bluetooth so I don't know if it works or not. The camera is working fine using the driver from the sager site. I did a full install using the 32bit version of vista.

OK, so I did my Vista install last night, and so far everything has been pretty good. Only question I have (so far at least) is about the touchpad. I installed the aforementioned drivers, but I can't seem to find the same functionality that used to be in the XP ones. I really want to disable the touchpad when I'm using the mouse (since I seem to be incapable of keeping my wrists off of it), but I can't figure out where to do that in the new driver. Am I just missing it?

Well, that would certainly be the easiest thing to do, wouldn't it? Heh. I'm sure I've read that on here somewhere, but it completely slipped my mind. Brilliant! Thanks.
