anyone here use speedfan (or if you have a better temp/fan monitor software, plz post it) on the 5760? I only get 2 temps, one is the hard drive, the other says something like ACPI ISA bus, which im fairly sure is the CPU temp. other than that, it doesnt have fan settings or control. does the 5760 not have any other sensors or anything to monitor fan speeds?

also, what does everyone find to be the best drivers for the 7900gtx 512MB? im using the 91.33 (also tried 91.31) from laptopvideo2go, but I get an error at shutdown relating to the nvsvc32.exe (accessing memory during shutdown it looks like, and getting a bad result). it also happens when you try to uninstall the drivers. anyone else got this, and have a fix? i've read that it is a common problem with the new beta unofficial drivers, something to do with the modded inf file. anyway, its a non-critical issue, just a little annoying at shutdown. HL2 works crisp and clean. wish I could test more online games, but now my internet connection is too slow for this awesome computer  :p

I'd stick to the 84.xx drivers - they are very solid and deliver good performance. What drivers did your 5760 come with stock? I wouldn't use the 91.33's, they are beta and have had some issues.

stock is 84.26, i downgraded back to these as they seem to be more reliable like you said, without any performance loss. I had to mess with them a bit to get the color correction and stuff turned on (why its all off by default is beyond me)...

if anyone has found a sweetspot with drivers better than stock (and do not give any errors) with the 5760, post em plz! thx

As for monitoring software, would Motherboard monitor work? Last time I checked they stopped supporting it, but it was **** good.

I use Speed Fan too, but its seems that Notebook Hardware Control is better in the interface and taskbar features. So I've switch over to it, its also Freeware.
