It typically won't take very long after a new processor is released to see it in the Sager lineup. I would expect to see it in the NP5760 shortly.

I think you would pay through the nose to get that extra bit of performance to the point of it not being worth it in my opinion. Might be better to stick with T2500 or T2600 (if its price drops from what it's at now).

No prices will be dropping, Intel will just add the T2700 to the top pricing level.

Expect it to be about $380-$400 more than the T2500 (2.0GHz).

It will only be worth it to the power mad with unlimited budgets (or someone else's wallet) :D

bah, not worth it! save your money, get a t2400 or t2500 now, and upgrade to merom in 6 months to a year.

I am personally planning to get the T7200 Merom 2.0GHz AFTER Vista has been released for a good few months.
Hoping to do it when Vista SP1 is released.
This way some of the bugs should have been fixed already in Vista and hopefully Merom would be a tad cheaper for the upgrade.

I consider the 2.x+ Ghz Yonahs to be something like the FX-60's for AMD.
Its just not worth it for the Price/Performance ratio.
I guess I say the same thing for SLI rigs just not worth it for the Price/Performance ratio, specially when its upgrade time.
