I bought 3 5790 from Xoticpc. So far i've been very impress except. OOOOHHH, AHHHHH, and ... ? A crack?. o.k Maybe it's from the shipping. So i open up a second box. Looks just like a crack also at the same spot. EH? Open up the third box, what do you know. Same thing!

Here are the pics (sorry about my photo taking skills).
I'm not sure if it's meant to be there or is it a bad batch. It still seems pretty sturdy but i have to admit i'm dissapointed to see these new laptops with unexplained (crack? scratch? i dunno, you tell me >.<). I'm leaving the country in two days so i don't know if i should hold on to them or send them all back :-(.

Other than this issue, Xotic has been very professional and helpful with my transaction and i would recommend them to everyone!

    Does anybody else has this?

hmmm thats extremely rare to have happened.... must have been missed when they were putting it together... or was done during transit.

I would contact Xotic, show them the pics, they should just swap you a new one ASAP. :)

i am not sure if thats a design or a crack.... are all of those systems "cracks" the same?

And Xotic does not put together the notebook (I believe), usually its done by Sager and shipped out to the customer.

Definitely not a crack, that is by design.

    Contact Justin of Xotix...

Explain the situation to him and show him the pics....That certainly seems to have bee manufactured like that for some reason.....I might also be a defect to that batch as all the 3 were defective.......

That's not a crack, it's part of the design. Mine has it too.
