    5790 and nvidia 7950gtx drivers

    i am trying to install new drivers on my lappy but when i try to i get this msg:

    the nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatabie with your current hardware. setup will now exit.

    any ideas wtf its doin this?

    Sounds like your trying to install the desktop nvidia drivers instead of the notebook ones. Are they from the nvidia site or laptopvideo2go? If thier from laptopvideo2go make sure you also download the modded inf file to go with the drivers.

    ok ive figured out how to do it however my hardware is not listed? theres no 7950gtx. all i see close to it, is 7900gtx and 7950 gx2

    That doesn't matter.

    From laptopvideo2go, just download the driver you want and the modded INF that goes with it. Decompress the driver, copy the modded INF into the new directory, and run the driver installation proceedure (preferably from safe mode).

    I recommend 163.16, as it has been stable for me for some time now. If you want to try 163.71, be my guest.
