Okay I'm going to be getting a 5790 very soon and was wondering a about a few questions I had

    1) whats a good dock for it?
    2) can you put a 2nd HDD in the DVD drive bay?
    3) whats the best price I can get to get it shipped to Toronto, Canada with this config
    4) What other cables will I need to hook it up to this
    5) whats a good gaming mouse, I'm thinking the new ms sidewinder

Thanks and also I would like a reseller that gives both 32 bit and 64bit vista discs

    1) there is no official dock for the Clevo notebooks. you can get a USB or ExpressCard Slot docks that comes with all ports and video.

    2) unfortunately no. You can easily get a USB powered 2.5" external drive for extra storage, as well as use it for mobile data transfers from-to other computers.

    3) XoticPC (USA) will ship to Canda and price match.... Eurocom (Canada) will also price-match [converted in CAD currency].

    4) to hook up to a HD-Display, you can get any DVI-to-HDMI cable (for the video). For audio, you can get any 3.5mm headjack adapter or cable to RCA plugs.

    5) Gaming mouse? Look towards:
    - Logitech MX518
    - Logitech G5 / G7
    - Razer DeathAdder
    etc...

Thanks for the quick reply Gophn also can you link me to some express card docks also is there anyway to get both 32 bit and 64 bit discs from eurocom or can I order from eurocom the system without OS and order the OS separate from xoticpc because there prices for the OS are way cheaper and give both discs.

Also whats a good tv tuner that I can hook up consoles instead of buying the tv. I need a component connection and regular a/v.

i dont think you can order the OS separately at least not for those prices...those prices quoted for OS usually come with a system purchase.

You can buy OEM versions ( Xotic may or may not you can try). Things like mouse, docks and perhaps OS might be better buying separately as you can find good deals. 2 good place to look in Toronto is www.infonec.com. and http://www.filtechcomputer.com.
They usually have pretty good prices. Infonec sells separate 32 and 64 bit OSbut their prices are cheaper than most. Not sure about filtech havent really looked. Another place to shop in TO is www.canadacomputers.com but I find them not as competitive pricing as other , they're good on the occassional deals tho.
I'm from Toronto too and going thru the same thing (Xotic/Eurocom) but trying to decide between the 5790 or D900C.
    Good Luck!

The LCD screen opens and closes with the 2 slider mechanisms... so you cannot keep them unlocked.

P.S. Sorry for not answering your PM's faster, my Msg Box is extremely full, I need to delete a lot of things out. As for chatting, I do not do any AIM, MSN, etc... anymore.

I might come onto IRC now and then... but I usually check my PM's when I can.

Most TV tuners in notebooks do not do component in, usually only:
    - coax
    - composite video
    - s-video

There are external tuners that has that functionality... but it might be a waste unless if you are going to use that feature a lot.

I know I barely ever use my TV Tuner... sometimes for demo-ing the notebook and maybe jack into to someones cable to watch stuff when I am at their house.
