    Hello,
    I installed theCIR driver and i wanted to know how to use it to connect to a printer because it doesnt show it as a port or whatever it is soppose to be shown as. Can anyone offer any help?Thanks

    I think it´s for TV tuner. Why not use Serial port for printer?

    my school has "wireless" printers which use IR receivers to print things out. Nobody ever uses them and i wanted to print out textbook which has quite a few pages. And figured that the laptop had a CIR and figured its the same. Maybe it can work somehow or im going to buy a dongle

    The CIR port will work with the Microsoft Media Center wireless keyboards and remote controls, but that's the only thing they work with as far as I know. Note that I don't believe the CIR port is compatible with IrDA devices (which is likely what the printer uses).
