I'm considering buying a 5793 but I really don't need the 8800m gts. I currently have a 7950gtx; is it possible to install it in the 5793? Thanks :)

Sorry, it's a GO 7950 gtx, which was previously installed in the np5760 so it is a mobile card.

The card has to be MXM-IV (HE). Where did you get the 7950GTX from? If you got it anywhere from an older Sager notebook or pulled from a Dell; it won't work.

It's from the sager np5760. Google leads me to believe that the 9800m GTS is indeed MXM-IV, so I hope it works. Thanks!!

Nope, it won't work. Those 2 cards are different MXM types. The 7950GTX from the 5790 is MXM-IV and has an extra tab, while the one from the 5760 is Clevo proprietary and isn't interchangeable.

The 9800GTS(Clevo) is MXM-IV, but it doesn't matter because the 5760 was never designed for MXM-IV, therefore it won't work. Sorry. :(

the Clevo M570U (Sager 5760) does not have a MXM-IV slot, it used the previous generation Clevo proprietary videocard module.

the Clevo M570TU (Sager 5790/5791/5792/5793) uses the latest MXM-IV videocard modules.

you cannot use the old M570U modules in the M570RU.

    and vice versa.

    Gophn meant M570RU...

Although the TU (5796) does also use MXM-IV modules
