    Hi,

I am wondering, how can I stop the screen from dimming itself when the battery gets to 10 percent? It doesn't seem to be a Windows power option as I turned power management off. Also, the screen is dim even before Windows boots up if the battery is that low.

Is this a BIOS thing? If so, can it be turned off?

    Thank you,

I'm not positive, but I think you can edit the plan settings for your power profile to choose not to dim so much @ 10%.

    Its normal.

When my notebook goes under 10% or so, the screen gets dim and a alarm sounds to tell me that I should plug it in or shut it down.

I thinks its low level programmed to do so to conserve power.. enough so that the user can react accordingly.

I think he's right. I tried to prevent it from doing that on my system and I couldn't find a way.
