I am planning on purchasing the sager 5793 within the next week. But I have a few questions...

I am stuck on deciding between the 8700gt and the QUADRO fx1600m graphic cards. I know the 8700gt is supposed to be decent, but why is the QUADRO almost $200 more expensive? I havn't heard much on this card and was just wondering if it is worth the extra $200. I don't play on doing extreme gaming (and by extreme I mean Crysis) I just plan on plaing games like UT3 and COD4.

And one other question, about how long does the build and ship usually take on this modell?

Any answers will be greatly appreciated!!!

dennis1985- i got the 5793 with the 8800m GTX and its great. It took about a week for them to have it to me after i ordered it. I'm playing COD4 on the max settings with zero lag or problems.

Yea, I would love to opt for the 8800 but money is alittle tight, which is why I was wondering about the 8700 or the quadro fx1600

actually quadro fx1600 is re-branded GF 8700M GT..it just uses different vBios which supports a lot of professional applications (think CAD and such..)

it is actually slightly slower in gaming than GF 8700M GT due to this vBios change and if you plan on using it for gaming, it's a bad idea (it's $200 more and will give u ~5% decrease in framerates)

check the links below for more info and good luck with that m570ru-u ;)

The Quadro will probably give you at most 5 FPS less, other than that I don't think it's not worth it if you need it.

You could go with www.xoticpc.com for a 3% cash discount on your order (when paying by wire transfer). :) They're an official reseller. ;)

You really advertise for XoticPc, I`d almost think you`re a reseller :D
Yes, XoticPC, PowerNotebooks, RJTech, Eurocom, they all have great deals on the M570Ru-U with the 8800M GTX nowadays. It`s a matter of choice and money. But at 2000 $ you can have the 8800M GTX , any 2.0 cpu would be ok for gaming and everyday bussiness, but the 88M GTX will be more than ok for games , present and future.

Man, I'd really like to tell you how happy I am with them! :) They're great. Sure there's powernotebooks as well, but they don't deliver internationally. Thus, XoticPC truly IS one of a kind!! ;) :D

Yeah, a piece of advice: never pay the premium for the Quadro as it's not worth it, unless you know what it's for and if you need it.
