you said sager wrong. lol.
It was a good intro, I liked it alot. Really liked how it was pretty steady all the way through.
But there seriously needs to be some more lighting. -
-
I'm pretty sure callidor is right on this one, even sager themselves pronounce it "say-jer"
-
WOW your laptop is so much louder than mine.....

Thanks for the video bud; it was well done and gave a really good job of highlighting the physical aspects of the notebook. One thing I learned was that the left release hatch has discrete locked/unlocked states and isn't a slider like the right one. Very cool and something subtle many look over
It is common to see people do size comparisons, so I think people have a pretty good idea of the size of this machine (or at least they should if they've seen all of the comparison images/videos listed in these forums over time and elsewhere). I have also heard some attempts at videos trying to provide an impression of the sounds that the fans make at the loudest setting or when ramping to the loudest setting. But, I have not seen an attempt to do a sound comparison (besides voice alone) where you have the fans on at various speeds and a constant, hopefully ubiquitously familiar sound simultaneously playing. This way potential buyers could gauge the volume relative to something familiar, and not attribute what they interpret as greater or lesser volume to different camera microphone sensitivities and distances from the unit.
I wouldn't burden you with the request of a video of fan noise as described unless others would also benefit. You have been generous already to upload that video today. If others are interested, what sound do you think would be most universally recognizable and easy to compare to? I think some microphones are sensitive to sharp, clear, higher pitched sounds (or those would at least stand out more in a video), such as a cell phone tone (I say that because I owned a VX9300 too until mine died -- awesome phone. Now I have the 9350)

Damn, I was about to say that, I was looking at your gaming videos and I'm only hearing like a hairdryer in the background.
I hope the m860tu isn't that loud.
Otherwise, great review. -
If you are used to the mainstream laptop fan nose then the 5793 sounds very loud.
-
Nice video, Callidor!
-
Bleh, I'm just now seeing how dark this looks on youtube...when I played it on WMP it was a bit brighter =/ Oh well
-
There's a very good reason for having one clip locking, it's so that you use one hand to open the right clip and one hand to hold the base as you open the laptop. The hinges on these laptops are really good, so you need 2 hands to open them
-
That's very true. If both were spring loaded, I don't think I'd be able to open the laptop lol
-
nice, that sounds really good to me. My dad's dell's screen wobbles if you shake it a little.
-
They screen on the 5793 has supports on the edges of the screen which gives it excellent support. You cant get it to wobble unless you push it really really hard.
