this is for those who played Battlefield 2142. when I am flying the gunship, I can't accelerate and make turns at the same time. my keyboard can only accept one command at a time. however this issue never existed on my macbook pro nor thinkpad. do you guys think it has something to do with the drivers?
-
In a word, probably.

I dnt have 2142.But could be in game settings?
-
I heard there's this desktop keyboard that can accept as many simultaneous key presses as there are keys....wish they crammed that technology into laptops >.>
-
You guys actually game with the onboard keyboard?
Lol.
I use a wireless keyboard and can set my laptop as a TV and watch it from far away, the keyboard being the remote.
Coolest thing yet. -
-
I have a wireless USB keyboard...but I don't mind the onboard one
-
I like using the Clevo keyboard.
-
Me too !

I use an external mouse, and the wireless keyboard allows me to lay on the bed while doing anythingAttached Files:

Yea, I`m a freak when it comes to cleaning, I hate dust and such, but I packed everything and left the `puter hanging till tomorrow.
Usually it`s clean as a whistle, but can`t help it .
Oh well , still practicall I guess -
it seems like an external keyboard would be a pain to carry around along with the laptop and a mouse.

It`s lighter than the power brick(probably 1 pound), it`s a Logitech EX110.

I've been talking to my lady about her making me a sling for the keyboard, to carry it across my back (think arrow quiver like) for such purposes.
I actually don't mind typing on the clevo keyboard at all, but I strongly dislike gaming on it. That's not because of the clevo design, mind you, but because of the overall design of laptop keyboards in general. I've huge, paw-like hands, and find precision use of a keys for gaming (particularly when the F-keys and ctrl/alt are involved) is... awkward, on the flat-style laptop keyboards. I normally press control, for example, with the base of my pinky finger and alt with the base of my thumb. This isn't possible with a keyboard lacking raised keys - or at least not without pressing a whole lot of other keys at the same time. The function keys and number keys get me kinda messed up, too, I tend of offset my hands a key to far forward on occasion. Full sized keyboards work much better for me when gaming
Given that, I highly recommend going bluetooth for wireless gear. No silly receivers to pack around. The setup rocks. Plug the lappy into a big HDTV, shut off the lappy's display, and kick back for some quality gaming on the couch.
hmm.
I wonder how long I can run gaming unplugged with the lappy display turned off entirely? -
@Elron911
I've a bone to pick...
I'll have you know that my screen has lots of little fingerprints all over it now, because I just came in to find my 4-year old laughing and squealing, trying to squish the little bugs running around on the screen!!! -
just do what I normally do with weird or annoying pics/animations.... Adblock Plus them.
Love Firefox. -
ROFL, you guys are insane.
Adblock them if you`re scared
I got 20 PMs telling me that I got them good
If only I could simulate a bug on the keyboard, they people would clean it more often -
Sorry Eleron911 I
can't read
for all the flies on my screen!
No idea where they came from.
EDIT: Look, my troupe of trained flies doing synchronized laps!Last edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -
