out of curiosity, how much would you price this used system now that the 5796 and the 8660 are out.

    np5793:

    8800M GTX
    Vista Ultimate 64bit
2.5 core 2 duo penyrn platform
    4gb 667Mhz Ram
    1gb turbo memory
    200gb 7200 rpm HDD
    extreme edition model

lets assume there is no exterior or interior damage to the product.

just looking for a ballpark figure of how much you think it would be worth now that there are better things out there, and please post mature estimates, dont try to make a funny.

its being sold fully loaded right now by Sager for under $1500 brand new.
    - Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (45nm)
    - 9800M GTS
    - 4GB DDR2
    - 200GB 7200rpm or 320GB 5400rpm
    - 2X Blu-Ray Read/8X DVDRW Super Multi Combo Drive

Sager is liquidating their 5793 systems since they are giving such a good deal for them.

So for a used one, you can probably sell it for a few hundred dollars lower.

I believe there are a few people looking for a used 5793.

Contact smashs, he is looking for one.

thanks gophn, i figured you would be the first one to answer, you were there at the begging when i bought the thing :D

not quite sure about selling it atm but i really really considering it now that asus has a cheap 15" with a 9800 gs. was lookin at the G50Vt, but thats around less than 1350$. it would pain me to blow out the 2.4k i spent on the bad boy, but hey, thats the pc world.

you should just keep your system since the 9800M GS wont perform as well as your current 8800M GTX

the order for you to know is:
    9800M GTX > 9800M GT ~ 8800M GTX > 9800M GTS > 9800M GS

your system is still considered high-end and very capable.

around 1100-1200 should be a good price point to sell it... maybe a bit more if its in fully mint condition.

But I still recommend to keep the system, since it still outperforms sub-$1500 gaming notebooks.

oh im sure of that, my big thing was portability really, not that 17" is too much to handle by any meens, its just not a very casual notebook to flop out at a starbucks or wutever. thanx for the prices, it helped alot.

Probably somewheres around US$1,000 to US$1,200 - there's a unit up on eBay that the seller claims is brand-new and in-box with a starting bid of US$1,445 that hasn't had any takers.
