Hi, I'm about to order a Sager 5793 and wanted to get your guys opinion on which hard drive to get. I was either going to get the 320 gb 5400 rpm one, or the 200 gb 7200 rpm and wanted to know which would be better suited for me. I am mostly going to be playing games on it (such as Age of Conan) so would the faster rpm benefit me greatly?

not likely. the faster RPM might help the game install faster but after that you're better off having more ram.

The 320 / 5400 = the 200/7200 in speed and performance, and price, so the 320 GB is the obvious choice.

Does the 16 MB cache on the 7200 make a difference as opposed to the 8 mb cache on the 5200?

If they offered the 320 when I bought mine, that is what I would have gotten- no question. Even though it spins slower, it is just as fast because the data is more tightly packed. Plus, it will run cooler than the 7200, and therefore, live longer.

As I said , in terms of speed the 320/5400=200/7200.
So to answer your questions, not really.
