I am using video drivers 180.48 and I have VISTA x64.

My computer screen stops responding when:

I start up my computer without being plugged in and without the secondary monitor plugged in. If I next plug in the 2nd monitor and then plug in the computer, everything stops and I have to force-restart with the power button. If I plug in my computer first and then plug in the monitor, no problems. I was thinking hotkey or the video drivers were causing a problem, but I've disabled hotkey and tried different (albeit non-sager) drivers and the same problem.

Anyone else have this issue? I was thinking since plugging in the computer changes the display (like the brightness) it might be getting confused when two monitors on attached....

I'm sorry. This all happens after I let the OS boot up fully. I haven't tried it during bios post. I'll try it then too the next time I boot up.

Ok. It doesn't lock up during bootup or during safe mode - I guess I'll have to go searching now for the different conflicting driver.

    sounds like a software conflict.

    Try a 176 or 179 clevo driver.
