    My BIOS- 1.00.06 LS2
    KBC/EC - 1.00.04S
"Advanced - Fan Control" - Set to "Automatics" in Bios

I am running VISTA 64bit. I have Hotkey ver M2.02.

    Issue 1:
For some reason Fn+3 doesn't work anymore and I could have swore it worked before. Fn+1 will rev up fans to high speed and then pressing it again will seem to turn off 1 fan, followed 5 seconds later by returning fans to decent low level. Fn+3 will not do anything (before if I was in high fan speed, Fn+3 would return me to normal speed). Silent mode button works fine. Any ideas? Can I safely assume my fans are at the proper medium level when I turn my computer on and I don't hit Fn+1?

    Issue 2:
I think this might be a VISTA thing, but turning on/off SRS WOW (which does work) does not give me a pop up picture saying when it's on or off. All other hot keys give me something. This has never given me a pop-up picture and it was only recently that I heard it does for some people. Any ideas?

    Thanks!!

I believe that the 5796 never had the fn+3 feature, just the fn+1 full fans.

Try updating your KBC/ec firmware and BIOS using the guide in my sig.

    Amalgamated BIOS 1.00.09 & EC 1.00.08

In DOS run step1.bat, restart then run step2.bat IN THAT ORDER
