Anyone else having trouble with the card seeing an HDMI connection? I'm running a Samsung monitor from HDMI, and 90% of the time windows or ccc don't list it as connected.

The cable and monitor are both good, tested on my previous laptop.

After plugging in the HDMI, you need to restart. Don't think there's any way around it. You also need to manually change the sound to output through the HDMI.

I can switch sound from hdmi output to laptop on the fly. I can also unplug the hdmi, and then plug it back in and it will automatically go back to the external monitor. I am using the newest 10.6 drivers.

Hrm, I'm using 10.6 as well. If I restart, it does work fine, but as soon as I try to detect the displays, to turns off the external and says nothing is connected. Then I have to restart. I'll keep fiddling with it.
