However it's priced the same as 670m. Anyone know why?

Its brand new, and thats the price we are getting from our suppliers. However, the 660m will be cooler and suck down less juice, while being within 5% performance of a 670m, and you get all the other new Kepler bells and whistles. Don't be surprised to see the 670m disappear after this one gets really going as nV is trying to dump these rebadges as soon as they can.

All our pricing is based on exactly what we pay for them.

    thanks

I saw in another thread that the 660M is 75W (according to Alienware) just like the 670M. Is this accurate? Even if it were, would the 660M be more efficient anyway?

Yea, the 660m is 28nm and so more power efficient. Even though its rated at 75W.

How does this work? I imagined a 75W GPU would consume the same amount of power and generate as much heat as any other 75 GPU?

75 is thermal design power, i.e. reference for you to design cooling system. It does not always equate power consumption.

first that, and secondly the 75W TDP only gives info as to the ceiling of this gpu, meaning it could also be at 60W or less in actual usage :)

It's quite obvious to me that Nvidia was holding out on Kelper GPU while trying the clear out their Fermi GPUs. Because nobody wants old technology and I kind of figure that 660M is on par with the 670M and run much cooler. I want the 660M, but I couldn't wait any further I ordered a P151EM with the 670M from a reseller. Although I don't see resellers offering a build with 660M. I guess they are waiting to clear out the Fermi GPUs before it becomes available.

Of course, even the W-series can do BF3 @ High, so thats a 650m.

sorry have to say this, diablo 3 probably wont come close to taxing your system to the max, or is that a good thing! MMO's dont usually have the best graphics because of the scale of the game. However that doesnt mean that d3 doesnt look good.
