Hello, my Clevo P151EM with a 670mx sometimes downclocks to idle clocks. I can't get it back to regular clocks unless I restart my entire system.

I'm running windows 7 64-bit and use MSI afterburner to monitor what is happening, something else that's weird is that MSI afterburner can't see my driver version. (Neither the current WHQL or beta version) and i'm running afterburner 2.3.1.

Sometimes I can play for 30 minutes, other times I can play for 4 hours. It doesnt matter which Nvidia driver i'm using.

I tried to get nvidia inspector to change the idle clocks so it wouldn't happen, but I get the error divided by zero :/.

My first recommendation is to uninstall the current driver to perform a clean install of an updated one. It wouldn't hurt to try the BETA driver either: NVIDIA DRIVERS 313.96BETA

You may even need to reinstall MSI Afterburner. Also, ensure that your power plan settings are for max performance.

I get this issue when I have overclocked too high and the driver has to reset, are you getting any notifications in the lower right about this?

Hey, I havent' overclocked my system and I don't get any notifications. However I tried changing the power cable to my adapter and haven't experienced the problem yet. Might just've been that the card couldn't draw enough power because of a faulty cable.

That would certainly make your card downclock, it wont run at full clocks on battery as it can't handle the power draw of a fully loaded system.
