Hit my highest temp so far @74c (ambient room temp 77f), then triggered fans at full (Fn+1), remained in the mid 60's.

Hardware polling @500ms. Big drops in graph is when I died, final drop off when I left the game.

GPU usage graph did not look anywhere like this when I had my 7970m.

Full 64 player server, Ziba Tower, max settings, no deferred AA, no motion blur and no vsync at native res 1920x1080.

    UPDATE:

    bf3CloseQuartersDonya56of64PlayerHighestFps.png

Fans at full speed prior to joining. Above was played in the lower level in the tiled room with columns, then ventured upstairs from that floor and tried to roam around. Server wasn't full, 56/64.

Same settings as mentioned above. Same server.

Again, usage drops are when I died and final drop when I left the game.

    UPDATE #2:

    bf3CloseQuartersZiba52of64PlayerLowestFps.png
    bf3CloseQuartersZiba52of64PlayerHighestFps.png

Fans at full speed prior to joining. Same settings, same server. Sorry it wasn't full, 52/64, but you get the idea.

Of course it'll vary widely depending on how much is going on and how much you move around to different points of the map, but this should give a general idea.

Never saw my 7970m's usage look anywhere close to what these screenshots illustrate.

What was your FPS? Why no AA?
I use AA +motion blur max out on ultra and it runs in the 40s.
Same as you, 64 CQ. No OCing.

I thought the 680M had adaptive V-sync where it shuts off vsync on it's own when frames drop below 60.
    Same resolution.

Did you upgrade your cooling system or is it that efficient from stock? Since you even OC'd your card a bit.
No AA for the performance I guess. You don't want to have even the slightest stutter in an online FPS, to perform top :)
Also motion blur in SP is fine due to the cinematic effect, but I find it too distracting in MP for same reasons.

Disabling AA boosts fps a great deal. Don't care for vsync because I'm more focused on trying to get the kill...or running for cover rather than letting screen tear annoy me. Not entirely sure if changing forcerenderahead con variable really helps tho.

I'll post another graph with fps...same server and map...when I can catch it at the right time with it's map rotation.

    Stock cooling with icd7.

    Agreed regarding motion blur.
