Errr... can you be more specific? Which model do you have? NP8130/NP8150...?

Plus the only place that you can get your hands on a HD 6970m is via mxm-upgrade.com, I think... :)

There are not going to be many aftermarket 6970M sales, until the initial rush of full machine configs is cleared.

It may sound strange, but you may want to try ringing the EU branch of Dell.

About the PSU, the 180W you have will be sufficient, to power the 6970M.

i think it is upgradeable.the only difference between np8130 and np8150 is the psu and the material of the laptop.np8130 allrdy works with gtx 485m with the psu from np8150.i think 6970m ll work too.

Are you sure about that? I thought that bit about the NP8130 with 485m and associated power brick was because someone swtched the internals of a NP8150 into a NP8130 so that they would not have the rubberized layer on the case which bothered them.

Mythlogic has confirmed that the internals are identical.

Then Sager claims that you cannot switch between AMD and Nvidia cards, but I don't believe a bit of that.

in China lots of player have got the p150hm equipped with m6970

    with 2720ES ( and 4G / 500g ) the price $1878

so , sure you can upgrade your 150 to the m6970

and I think p150hm should easily upgrade to gtx580m and m7000 series

150 is designed for the 100watt-mobility-gpu

    don't worry , 150 is more powerful than 860
