Ok, I feel like a moron, but for the life of me, I cannot install the new AMD drivers for my 6970m. I have followed instructions to the T on AMD website. After I restart, the computer just detects a "Generic PnP monitor" and doesnt allow me to open CCC. If it helps, my specs are in my sig.

Can someone give me some help? I am pretty savvy with these things, but I am just dumbfounded with this.

My old drivers arent really giving me any trouble, but they released new ones for Skyrim today, and I wanted to update.

    Thanks in advance.

Try uninstalling the drivers you currently have, then restarting and installing the new ones. I believe a couple people have used driver sweeper or similar programs to get rid of leftover "bits" of information. Also, don't worry about the "Generic PnP Monitor," that's pretty normal tbh.

Thanks. I have uninstalled and restarted, then installed and restarted, with no dice. I was avoiding driver sweeper if possible, but maybe that is my only choice.

And BTW, I bought it from you guys. If this doesnt work, a call to your customer support is next. ;)

Yep! Give us a shout if you need assistance with that. We'd definitely be more than happy to help.

Edit: Also, if it is possible, try uninstalling the drivers, then reinstalling in safe mode. Sometimes this helps too.
