Any ideas for a good backpack to fit the 7200?

I currently have a Sager 9262 and use the Targus XL. I like the backpack but I need more room for things other than the laptop. I need room for a couple of notebooks, etc for work.

I travel most weeks for work so a comfortable backpack to carry around airports is a must.

You are going to need 2 backpacks; One for the laptop, and 1 for the SLI power supply...

I seem to recall having seen a Targus XXL, maybe this would do? Can't remember where, sorry.

I thought Targus XL is the biggest laptop backpack you can get. I don't think there's any bigger. Another extra bag is your only option from what I can see.

Off topic: Speedy, when are you buying the X7200?

I am going with the Slappa Mask backpack. I would like to go Booq but it is too small for the laptop.

Looked hard at the Tom Bihn but I would have to use a free floating sleeve inside the backpack and I did not want to do that.

I will post to this thread after I get a chance to evaluate the backpack.

This thing is huge and weighs a ton

Ok guys desparation here, what backpack is big enough but also small enough as carry on luggage. Tried a business trolley but it was a bit too "businessy", so one carry on bag means i need room for other stuff too. Ones with wheels are cool too... Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure any laptop bag is small enough for carry-on. Or you can just get a huge backpack. I carry guitars on planes all the time and you know how big they are ;)

You can still get the Booq XL. Not sure I think it's all that great in electic orange, but everyone has different tastes.

    http://www.booqbags.com/Laptop-Backpacks/Boa-flow-XL-laptop-backpack

It was orderable from their website at least.
Too bad they don't make that in all black or something. Nice dark red interior and black outside would make the Booq a win.

The booq xl is too small, it say max laptop size is 15.5 x 11.5 x 1.7

    The x7200 is 16.5 x 11.3 x 2.4

The Booq XL is also $200. I don't want to spend that much just to carry that device I already threw $3000 in..
I'll just go to walmart and get a few plastic bags. Work out equally as well.

The alienware Orion ME-AWBP2.0 looks like a good fit but seems to be a liittle bit small in the thickness of the computer dept, only does 2" thick but ours is 2.2-2.4, does anyone have one and the x7200 to test?

The Slappa I ordered will not get her until next week sometime if I am lucky. I will not get a chance to try it until the end of next week.

I have to travel tomorrow so I will try to stuff my 7200 into my 3 year old Targus XL. Which is much smaller than todays Targus XL.

I just received my Slappa Koa this morning. I believe it is the same as the Slappa Mask just with a differnt external shell. The shell is removable so you could switch it out.

I was using an old style Targus XL which I have had for 5 years. The Targus worked will with my 9262. The 7200 is a wider machine so it just barely fit into the old style Targus. I mean the corners were printing through the top of the laptop compartment. I had to travel this past week with the 7200 in the Targus. It worked but I would not feel comfortable using the Targus as a long term solution with the 7200. The newer style Targus XL may be better.

The Slappa has much more room than my old Targus XL. The 7200 just fits into the laptop sleeve built into the backpack. I can barely close the flap enough to catch without putting any pressure on the flap. The velcro touches just enough to hold. If I stretch the flap a little the laptop will be nice and snug in the padded compartment. I will have more room for my other work related items in the Slappa. Notebooks etc that I have to take back and forth to the office. Another nice feature of the Slappa is that you can unzip and lay the laptop flat on the x ray conveyor at the airport without taking the laptop out of its padded sleeve. Supposedly this is allowable by the TSA. I will find out when I travel on Sunday.

I travel next week and will post a travel report using the Slappa.

The trip to the office must be including the PSU?

Does it have enough room for the x7200, the power supply, mouse, ear muff style headset, some papers, some dvd disks?

With room to spare for all the other things like spare external drive and random junk like the kitchen sink, and a partridge in a pear tree????

Having worked with the Booq Boa Flow XL I can testify that the specs listed on their website are extremely conservative. The laptop compartment is huge and should be able to accommodate up to an inch over their specs. I would find a local retailer by going on booqbags.com and take the laptop to the store and try it out.

Furthermore, the backpack is of the highest quality and is well worth 200 dollars.

The website states max size is 15.5"X11.4"X1.7

the x7200 is 16.5 x 11.3 x 2.4 looks like an awesome bag but it doesnt look promising

Well the M17x is 16.1x12.6x2.1 and it fits tightly but well in the Booq.

So it might work...not positive though.

Like I said, the maximum laptop size specified on Booqs website is really conservative. The actual size of the compartment is larger than they have listed.
