    Some relevant info:
    - Sager NP9150 [7970M graphics, 95% gamut matte screen, i7-3610QM], Windows 8.1 64bit
    - Upgraded wireless to 7260.HMW in Feb, here is the listing I purchased from on Newegg: Intel 7260HMW IEEE 802.11AC, dual-band, 2x2 Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth 4.0 Mini PCI Express combo Adapter - 867 Mbps+300Mbps - Internal - Wireless Adapters - Newegg.com
    - Invoice specified wireless card model number 7260.HMWWB

I can't get my bluetooth working. I haven't really invested a lot of time in figuring it out until now, because I haven't needed it until now. I show no bluetooth device under device manager, but I do have an unknown device and the 7260HMW. I always figured it was a software/driver issue, but when I look up the drivers & install them, it doesn't change anything. When I use Intel's driver update utility to update drivers, the network card has an error after the reboot, and I have to roll back the driver. A bluetooth device never shows in device manager when messing with drivers. If I point the unknown device to the bluetooth drivers in the Intel folder, it says it can't find a proper driver for whatever the unknown device is.

    Questions:
    - How do I confirm which exact variation of the 7260.HMW cards I have? I have a photo of the card with the reference numbers to reference.
    - If I do have the 7260.HMWWB, should this variant have bluetooth? I've found specs for a handful of variants, but not this one.
    - If my card is a variant with bluetooth, why can't I get it working? What are suggested troubleshooting steps?

Have you tried turning it on with fn + f12?

Use the hotkeys (FN and F12) to see whether it can be enabled or disabled. If you see it enabled, check Device Manager again.

Also: where did you get your driver(s) from?

    - It should be printed on the label affixed to the card. You can also use a system information utility, such as HWiNFO 64.
    - Considering a good many do tout Bluetooth, I'd say the odds are in your favor. You won't know for certain until you can determine the card model.
    - Try said suggestion (hotkeys) and let us know which driver you downloaded.

Go to the intel site for the AC wifi card and install the latest 17.x drivers for both the intel AC wifi AND the bluetooth.

I think by default most vendors forget to install the bluetooth drivers.

So while the microsoft drivers get 'loaded', it doesn't work with the device.

Once you install the AC bluetooth drivers, it should be golden.

    Hya,
Same kind of problem here, i had to use old drivers (17.1.14) to make it work correctly, then i installed latest drivers and everything is okay :)

Well I'm embarrassed, turned out I just needed to do the F12. I didn't really think about it, but also expected any on/off key like that on the keyboard would be a software disable, and that the device should still show in the device manager, which it didn't. As soon as I hit fn+F12, I went to start and searched for Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Settings came up (which didn't before). I then opened device manager, and the bluetooth adapter was listed.

Now if I could just figure out the one unknown device I still have in the device manager, I'd be happier, but that'll have to wait for a less busy time.

For what it's worth, it happens all the time. :) Same goes for the webcam.

You can try this for the unknown variable in Device Manager: How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager The application 'UnknownDevices' works well for older systems, but I believe the project has been abandoned. You're welcome to give it a shot, though.
