Hey guys have a pretty peculiar error wherein my 750DM-2 (Metabox) boots up to a black screen after showing the BIOS logo, but only after an extended period of time after shutting down (say over an hour). Solved by powering off and then on during this black screen again and then it works as normal but obviously I don't want to do this each time I want to power my laptop buddy on :\ This seems to have been an issue with Alienware laptops searching around but no concrete solutions for those either.

Stuff still seems to work when on black screen - my keyboard lighting preferences load and Fn + 1 for fans works, it even loaded up chrome + a Youtube video and played it while on the black screen before login so hunch is that it's getting into Windows somehow? Even though I haven't input my password which I do on a normal boot :S

Have tried external monitors, turning off fast startup/hybrid sleep, updated all drivers/Windows, forced BIOS reset, updated BIOS, HD/RAM check out in good health.

Wondering if you guys have any ideas, cheers!

Sounds like initislisation issue, so things like cleaning the contacts and refreshing the vbios would be worth a try.
