Hi guys. My NP7352 just arrived and I've been trying to play a game called Combat Arms ( combatarms.nexon.net) and it's not very demanding.

Regardless, 1080p with every other setting off is only getting me 60 fps ( on a 6750m I got 60ish as well). I set the 765M to global and set windows to high performance. As far as I know I've done nothing wrong. I installed the nVidia drivers twice, the 765M runs when I play the game, but it still runs like crap. Running Win8, no other problems.

Does anyone else play this game? I'm having a lot of trouble and I play it a lot with my little cousins. Thanks

Here is my score on 3dmark11. Where should I get my drivers?

I never played that game nor have that card but you sure it/you doesn't have some sort of v-sync enabled maybe that would be limiting the GPU?

If you run a program like MSI Afterburner or GPU-z when playing the game, do the GPU clocks go to full speed and is the GPU usage at around 98%? If either of these is not something is limiting it.

Turn VSYNC off for more frames. You don't need over 60 anyway as the display is 60Hz and so incapable of displaying more than 60fps!

The only issue is if you "feel" input lag as much as I do, can never stand vsync myself.

Hey guys, thanks for the help. I've come to the conclusion that it was just the game, everything else I've thrown at it so far runs like a breeze!

It might be it does not like optimus, have you tried looking around for that?

Good to hear it's not the hardware! :)

    Good luck with the game.

Actually, no. It was running on the 765m. I'll try to mess around with it on msi afterburner when I get the chance. Maybe its on low load when the game is running

Optimus is the switching mechanism used with the 765M and can't be disabled, if you select it to use the GPU all the time it's still working through the optimus mechanism with the integrated putting out the finished frames to the display.

Hey so I played another game with MSI Afterburner (Soldier Front 2, L4D2, Combat Arms). I set the GPU % usage to a minimum of 90%, and the orange indicator dot saying that the 765m is being used stayed on. However, it said my GPU was at 0% load the entire time. there has to be some stupid mistake i'm missing, here.
