It appears that my 780m is getting a constant 45c-46c temp even under load on a slight overclock through msi afterburner. The highest I have seen my CPU go is 71c, but my GPU doesn't go above 45c. Normally that would be a good thing, but the temps seem off to me.

I've tried speedfan, and HWmonitor and both programs give back the same numbers.

The fans speed up when playing games, but there is no increase in GPU temp shown to me.

I don't know if I have a broken sensor, or if I just got extremely lucky with a card that has insanely low temps.

Any info on why I would be getting those numbers would be appreciated.

also, check if SLI is enabled! do you have any benchmark software like 3dmark? run it and we'll figure out what's what

Chances are its a broken sensor, the normal idle temps for a 780m are around the low 40s.

Yes you need to look at the temperature of both cards.

The temp sensor can't be broken and have the GPU fans working correctly.

I got the 9390 edition with only one card at the moment, with the plan of purchasing a second card at a later time.

The asic quality was at 71%.

I will download some benchmark software to double check.

If all else fails, I'm going to get in contact with xoticpc to see what they can do for me.

    Edit:

It appears I fixed the problem by flashing the latest bios and firmware from sager. Just got done playing payday 2 for ten minutes and the temps climbed up to 65c.

65C is impressive, glad it was fixed, did seem like a firmware bug somewhere.
