    Hello,

My 7970M performed well after install, I was prompted after starting an 3D application and had the choice to set a program High performance or Powersaving in the Catalyst Control Center.

However in the last weeks I appearently did something which changed this. When I set the switchable graphics settings for an application they are no longer stored. If I restart the application or even change something other in the CCC it reverts back to "Not Assigned".
Here is a image showing the problem: PicFront - SwitchableStateNotSaved.jpg

    Edit: Found a solution :)
Use atiman uninstaller 7.0.2 to remove your drivers, then reinstall them. You can try reinstalling only, but for me it didn't work.

What I asked you to find out in the original post:
    Settings are stored in C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\APL\User.blb
Maybe its enough to delete this file next time.

Keywords: 7970m Enduro, Switchable graphics, not saved, not assigned, wont store

Try to re-install video driver. I believe you may change the video setting by one of the program you installed which is associate with the video driver. Therefore, I recommend you to re-install the driver.

Did you use ccleaner recently ?
There are a few entries in the registry that when i erased made enduro stop working.

You have to uninstall everything through the official amd installer, after that go to device management as well and uninstall 7970m also select erase drivers, use ccleaner to erase any traces, reboot. Now check if something is left somewhere, if not install from your dvd drive that came with the notebook, use express install.

It should be working now, you can if you want update to new drivers, you can update to 12.8 for example but only update the driver and cc catalyst the rest i haven't tried, but might work too. I also installed the latest cap.

Of course I tried reinstalling the drivers, didn't help. And Prostar, if you take a look at the screenshots I linked, you see I used the programm to change the settings and the programm failes to store the settings, thats my whole problem.

    @fantabulicuius:
No I didn't even install CCleaner yet. Didn't need to use it.
I will now refresh my backup and try your CCleaner method. I it doesn't work I will try Atiman unistaller as someone suggested in another forum. Maybe also Driver Sweeper, but that one messed up my system once.
Will report back in 1 or 2 hours.
    Thank you for your suggestions.

    Edit:
CCleaner method didn't work, but with Atiman uninstall+reinstall my settings are stored again :D

Ok, Prostars answer was a bit hilarious for me, cause I am an experienced user and asked here to avoid getting the standard answer of an notebookretailer: reinstall. (Which helps often)

But your answer tops it all! Not only it tells me you haven't read one sentence from my problem description, you also assume a level of dullness which wouldn't allow a user to write here.
And you didn't even notice, I had solved the problem at the time you posted your answer.
Don't know what to say else, please refrain from posting such a "solution" without taking time to look at the problem.

Bro sometimes the solution can be that simple. When I first had the popups i overlooked the apply button.

But you are right, I read your post quickly and I didn't see the screen you posted.
