    Hi guys,

I recently bought a 7970M and was wondering if there was a distinct difference between the P150HM and P170EM.
Are the model/part numbers different or is it just the vbios that's different? The reason I'm asking is because I get the
feeling I was sent the EM version instead of the HM. Is the situation salvageable by reflashing the correct vbios onto
    the card?

The most distinct difference between the two is the ~2" diagonal in size. And I'm not being a smart either.

Well if you put it in and you get a black screen then yeah, could be. But any clevo 7970M card will work once flashed with the correct bios.

I have bought a HM 7970M from R&J to upgrade my MSI GX740. Unfortunately, when the card arrived and I put it in my laptop, it displayed no picture (but the laptop was booting just fine). It turned out that I received a card with EM vBIOS. I downloaded the HM vBIOS, did a blind flash and everything works fine (the card displays picture and overclocks with no problems at all, I haven't had a chance to test the HDMI output though). I think it will be the same in Your case.
