No evidence points towards it. AMD just said they are looking into it, nothing about fixing it soon, or fixing it at all.
In fact, in one of my local forums, a fellow user got a response from AMD today, and in it, they still insist the notebook manufacturer is the one that should fix the issue. Here is the response, by the way (hope he doesn't mind). He posted it today at 15:00 GMT.

Check out my setup in my sig whole thing only cost me £500 not including the laptop so you could easily have the W110er and a nice setup for the price of the 17 incher. -

Other than that, I would appreciate portability, but I am willing to lug around 17 inches of laptop for the benefits.
But still.... that little computer looks pretty nice and would surpise a lot of my classmates who were 'smoked by a netbook' -

Hi ******,
Thank you for your enquiry.
From reading your email I believe you have a good knowledge of the current situation with the AMD 7970 which includes reported cases of the issue with certain games not performing optimally. I assume you have
experienced a similar issue in your games too.
As you may or may not know, AMD are currently working on a solution for their driver that encompasses both our Clevo products and Alienware products which will enable their Enduro technology to perform more effectively. Admittedly, despite reports of this issue dating back to early June on notebookreview, this issue was only recently brought to the attention of AMD and is the reason why a solution is only in the pipeline now.
We have been informed by the factory that AMD are close to releasing a driver update and we are very confident a solution is not far from surfacing. We are currently waiting on an update from the factory with the aim we can get a more definitive timeframe which I hope to be able to provide you shortly.
In the meantime, you are welcome to return your laptop for a replacement to the NVIDIA GTX 680M if this is something you feel more comfortable doing. If this is so, please let me know and I will arrange it for you.
Kindest regards,
*****

...So unless AMD is not being honest then hopefully this is the case. It would be great to get clarification on this. But of course we probably won't. Are you able to post the link to the forum post you're referring to please? -

but as you need the bigger screen do consider the AUO V5 it will make things all that much clearer for you
an outstanding panel.

so the enduro issues mainly are crashes in games and less potential fps?
What about the battery life? I thought there was an issue with the battery life where it wasn't working like it should in terms of swapping to the integrated Graphics when e.g not gaming?
How about the battery life in terms of 7970m vs 675m? -
170EM with 675 come with optimus?

Price vs. performance: I would select 7970M AMD.

7970=675sli
go with the 7970 -
Personally I've never had any problems with my 675m so far, it handles all my games and I don't notice any slowdowns whatsover with it too. Only it's not as fast as a 7970 or a680m for that matter.
I would say if you really want a stable system got with the 675m and then later on when the prices go down switch to a 7970 or a 680m. If on the contrary you'd like to have a 7970m then drop the 675m and add a few extra buck to get it, I usually don't buy the bleeding edge in GFX systems at all, I like to buy the midrange series then when new GFX cards get released the former top end becomes mid rangeit's had time to mature and become stable.
