I can't get the 7970m to work properly anymore. The Clock speed is now locked at 450/300Mhz, with no way to fix this, any game I run, any program I try they all run at 450/300Mhz.

    This really sucks.

What software are you using to read those clocks?

It's not a downclock, your system was problably using the Intel HD4000 (the power saving card) when you launched Afterburner. It's the Intel's readings ;)

Try running any software with the 7970m before starting Afterburner and you'll be all good to go.

I tried to use multiple software with the 7970m and had the same reaction. When on battery it doesn't seem to want to run with the 7970m

Have you set in powerplay options ( in CCC ) to maximize performance when on battery? Also why would you want that? ^^'

mmm, But yes you probably wouldn't want that. I wonder how long the battery would actually last if the GPU and CPU were running at 100%. I guess 15 minutes.
