I had my first opportunity to use some fairly speedy internet in quite a while and figured there must be a new 7970m drive by now. Going to the Sager download page I am still only seeing the one from 9 months ago. Can we use the drivers from ATI's website?

Always look to the graphics manufacturer for drivers if at all possible.

I ran ATI's Autodetect utility and it said I would have to use the notebook manufacturers drivers.

AMD's autodetect doesn't work with Clevo-based Enduro-enabled machines I believe. What someone else on this board recommended -- and it worked for me -- was:

    1) uninstall the Catalyst manager from the control panel (this uninstalls the AMD driver) and reboot
    2) uninstall the Intel driver and reboot
    3) install intel driver
    4) install the lastest AMD driver from the manufacturer (13.1 official, I believe there's a 13.2 beta 5 as well)
    5) reboot

This should update you to the latest drivers. I'm running 13.1 and it's been fine so far.

I didn't get mine to work ok before I started my clean install with a amd driver from clevo, THEN I could update to the latest driver.

Might be that I did it wrong before or something.

Yes. 13.1 is the latest stable release, and 13.2 is the beta. Generally, the resellers take additional time while they test the driver, but you are always welcome and able to try a new driver from the component manufacturer to stay on top of things.

It's always worth trying out the latest beta (beta 6 I believe) as you can always roll back to the latest WHQL if you have issues.

Hi guys, I tried several latest drives i.e. 13.2 beta 5 and 6.Of course I do clean install every time. However, the enduro did not work. It did not switch to discrete GPU. Any suggestion please? I am now using 12.11 beta 11 at the moment.

So to be clear the 12.11 drivers work as normal but the latest no matter what don't activate the discrete GPU? Have you tried installing over those drivers rather than a clean install (which is actually the correct way to do it).

Thanks for quick reply.Yes, you are right. I did try installed over the 12.11 but it did not work as well...As I read some user maintained that they have successfully installed 13.2 beta..i was wondering how they do it...
