    7970m fresh install of windows 8. How do i get started?

    Hey guys noob question here. So I have a Sager NP 9170 with the 7970m. It came with windows 7, but I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and I'm having a hard time getting all the right drivers and stuff. I went to sagernotebooks.com and looked up my model and installed that graphics driver and then went to AMD.com and tried installing the latest driver with the auto detect and install tool, but got a bunch of errors. Now whenever I try and access the
    I try and go to the AMD catalyst control center I get an error saying "AMD CCC cannot be started there are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD CCC. Any ideas?

    I'm thinking about just doing a fresh install of Windows 8 and starting over, but would need help to get everything lined up after that.

    Install intel graphics. Reboot. Install the sorry excuse for mobile drivers from AMD. Done.

    You can download the latest AMD drivers from Guru3D, they always post links to fast hosting for them, often before AMD's lazy staff post them.
