I've been trying to play DCS: A10c, but I am only getting 10-15fps, and sometimes lower. MSI Afterburner is reporting that my GPU usage is at 25% and the temperature is only 60 degrees Celsius. This hasn't always been this way for this game and other games work fine. Is there any thing I can do to fix this?

Sounds like it's not even using the 7970m at all but rather the Ivy Bridge. Locate the place in the control panel and add the game .exe file manually as a high performance app.

I made sure that the 7970m was running and I already added the game as high performance.

Does that game have more than one .exe file in the folder?

    It has .exe's like, "fetchEffects", ""FFTest","input test","luac,"Luae","modelViewer","protect","AsmShadersCompiler"

Should I add all these to high performance?

I had this issue once when I set it to maximize battery life and played diablo 3 and BF3. So I hope this helps

I hope I understand your problem correctly. =)

You may do this check and it's really simple

    1. make sure laptop is plugged in.
    2. check the performance by double clicking the battery icon. (make sure it's set to performance)
    3. click more power options
    4. on the High Performance go to change plan settings and click on change ADVANCE power setting.
5 Scroll down and look for ATI graphics power settings
    6. set it when plugged in to maximize performance.

It's a bit crude, but try adding all the .exe files manually and set them all to high performance and see if this helps.

Apparently my laptop was set to "balanced mode." When I put it on High Performance I began getting 35+ fps. So thanks for helping out.
