Can someone explain what MUX means? When I Google search, I just get a ton of video editing posts, lol.

And for the thread, I also had to decide between the two and went with the 675MX. Purely because I don't want to deal with driver issues or ugly anti-aliasing.

Think of them like a train track switch, depending on how it is set depends on which way the train (data) goes.

If I was shopping right now, and had to choose between the two, I'd probably eat the potential performance difference and take the 675MX. My life's experiences have caused me to value peace of mind above all else, and Nvidia's Optimus 2.0 is where it's at right now.

Hopefully AMD gets it right next time.

Hopefully the Enduro improvements AMD makes with the HD 8000M series will also affect current Enduro configurations.

Oh another thing to consider when choosing between camps, not here though, but does AMD rebadge last gen cards like Nvidia?

Would be a major loss of face to AMD if they didn't. Aren't the earlier AMD switchable configurations still somewhat unfixed? If it happened again, it would be really, really lame.

Not on the high end so far.

They do. With the low end cards.

One slight difference, none of the renamed products encroach on desktop product names that are the new generation.

    I wouldn't bet on it.

Nvidia's new version Optimus did nothing for those who were unfortunate enough to be the guinea pigs for its first iteration, because there were changes on the hardware level.

Two things though. Number one: AMD only recently started putting out decent drivers for Enduro configurations, and I doubt they even have time and/or money to develop a new hardware configuration for Enduro and then redo their work on drivers. As long as Enduro continues to use the processor iGPU as a mux, I think our cards will stay in the cycle. Number two, the HD 8000M series is based on GCN 2.0. No matter what happens to Enduro, we will still get nice improvements since the basic architecture is being reused. I am optimistic about the future for driver updates.
