Could someone please inform me if the D901C with a Intel P965 +ICH8R supports 800Mhz memory, or just 667Mhz memory?

The D901C does support DDR2-800 since it has a desktop chipset. However, The Clevo M571RU does not support DDR2-800.

I would consider it a sin to use slow 667 Ram in a 926x!

It's not slow, it's almost the same. I bet 1 - 5% difference or so in memory benchmarks.

Mmm, after thinking it over again I should have said "slower", not slow. Real differences greatly depend on the processor used. My E6850 runs a 1333 FSB which would use 667MHz Ram without synchronisation wait states. The Q6600 and 6700 run at 1066MHz, would they be better of with 533MHz Ram?

No, not really. They would be better with 1066 Mhz RAM :).

I am using the ASUS C90S right now: e6600, 1066FSB and my ram is running at 533Mhz. I wish I had a NP9262, though!
