Hello, I just recently got my new np8130 (and it is great I might add :)) but I have a couple problems.

The first is that two of my programs icons, Google Chrome and the Bison Cam program do not display their icon in the taskbar/on the desktop. They did before, but all of the sudden, their respective icons have been changed to the "default" windows icon (white page with corner bent, a generic window open with little icons inside). Has anyone had a similar problem, or does anyone know how to fix this?

The second problem is with the Bison Camera itself. I went to the video settings to flip the picture, but for some reason the "flip horizontally" button is greyed out. This is not the only function that is greyed out, however. A LOT of the settings are greyed out, and I have no idea how to fix this. Any ideas?

It could have been a installation issue, have you tried to reinstall? also try a program like Advanced System Care free to fix any registry issues or icon issues.

As for Bison Camera are there any other programs you have tried to use? And same try reinstalling it.

I can't think of much else because I don't think its a driver issue if the rest of your computer is working fine.

Those sound like application specific issues. Re-installation is the best option there. It's also possible that you've got a software conflict somewhere that removed your application icons.

Just re-install windows. Since you just got it you probably don't have too much on there, so a re-install can't hurt.

All of those are software related issues and have nothing to do with the NP8130 itself.

Isn't that a little drastic... He might as well try and reinstall the programs not windows its self.

I had this happen to a few of my programs. I just uninstalled and then reinstalled them and they are fine now.
