Hi everyone.
I am thinking about purchasing a RAIDER 17,3 inch laptop based on the same Clevo model as used on the Eurocom Sky 7C chassis.
My setup includes the i5 8600K and I was wondering what performance I might expect on this CPU? I am hoping to get it to 4.5Ghz or higher while maintaining reasonable temperatures (around 80 degrees). The machine will replace my current desktop and if needed the panel will be replaced for IPS LP173WF4-SPF3.
The main concern I have is what can be achieved on this machine with this CPU?
Perhaps any of you can also tell me what chassis this is in the Clevo/Sager line-up?
Thanks for any reply and I hope you can show me some good results and convince me in buying this piece of hardware.

EDIT: I believe this is the Sager NP9175 chassis

Those targets are not unreasonable for normal loads with the i5. Higher clocks would likely need a delid.

It's the Clevo P775TM1.
I don't know if 80c at 4.5GHz will work out of the box without delidding the chip in that chassis.
I can't guarantee being able to overclock to that speed and stress both CPU and GPU on the stock firmware either. It may be possible, I simply don't know for sure.
That panel is IPS, however I don't know why you want IPS specifically. -
Was opting for this machine:

Seems like a decent spec to me

i got a barebone from RJtech without the CPU and with GPU. you can get CPU from SL with a 4.7ghz sample for cheap and comes with delid, run it at 4.5ghz and you'll have great temps. -
A delid is planned but I don’t trust suppliers do it as they can just say “we did it” charge you for it and you cant check it. So I found a chap who did 90+ delids already and is willing to help me out.

The temperatures would certainly reveal it and often the sealant will give it away. It is best to run with the lid not re-attached (just leave it sitting on top without sealant held by the socket) of course for best results.

The socket clamp holds the lid down pretty firmly anyway.
