    1. I believe the 8660 has only one fan :)
    2. I believe the key combination is the function key + 1 or F1 (Fn + 1) or (Fn + F1). I am not sure of which of those two it is but I remember hearing one of those when I was reading about the Sager NP5796. To revert the fans back to normal, you use the same keyboard combination again.

    how do i check what level my fans are running at?

    FN +1 or FN + F1 doesnt seem to do anything

    for the time being there is no fan toggle for the M860TU... since it seem to do a sufficient job in throttling the fan automatically.

    Daweism, I really think you should contact your reseller about your HDD idling at 65°C. Have them cross ship you a replacement.

    That's what I suggested a while ago. The HDD is hot...replace it!
