Do you guys think its worth paying extra going from PC8500(1066Mhz) to PC1066(1333) on 8660M ?

Montevina chipset is 1066 FSB so does that mean 1333MHz Ram will be "downclocked" to 1066Mhz ?

Now if im wrong and it does work at full 1333Mhz, I hear the actual difference in RAM clock speed does not play much in performance, yes ? On the other hand, if youre buying such a high-end system with 9800GT/P9500 etc, it would only make sense to use the "best ram" so to speak ? Need your opinions.

    got it.

1 More : Do you think its worth going for 8gigs ?(do you think this much can be potentially put to use by 2010+ ? Not by extremely specialized software but by rather mainstream stuff - gaming/OS/etc )

Nope, I've got 4GB in my system and I never use it all with gaming on max settings (COD4, TF2 mainly)

Wait until prices drop even more on memory if you want 8GB, but IMO it'd be a waste.

In some cases the 1333 RAM is actually only about $10 more (if you're getting it yourself). For that... why not.

If you can find it cheap as KN said, heck why not? might get another system later on and slap that memory in it.
