I think i found a bug in the SAGER NP8690 (Clevo W860CU). at least the newer ones with the new ATI cards...in CSS i you can't crouch jump and move foward using the W key to move forward, any other key combo works...i use X to crouch, space to jump and W to move forward, if i use, e, q or R to move forward, NP....has anyone else run across this???

Something might be wrong with your keyboard layout (OS?)

It's keyboard problem, actually i won't really say it's a problem, it's ghosting, something that happens with almost all keyboards, when you have 3 keys pressed simultaneously, some keys won't register, you can test your keys by holding on to 2 shifts and pressing a-z, even my razor lycosa can't register some keys so don't expect much from a laptop keyboard.

Same thing happens with M860TU keyboards. Not such a big deal, but buying a cheap 20$ external keyboard solved the issue.

heh, well its from rjtech, he'll say send it back in... and i dont believe this is an issue wit most keyboards....this only happens in that key combo for me. I just want to confirm this is a known issue with sagers.

Actually it could well be an issue with the keyboard revision in use. As mentioned already, due to the way a keyboard matrix works, most keyboards have specific combinations of keys that WILL NOT work together.

It varies from keyboard to keyboard what said combinations are, but it IS common, most people don't tend to notice it though for obvious reasons.

It tends to be modded/more expensive keyboards with more complicated matrix that avoid the issue.

Sorry to spoil the fun, but it's true. What they MIGHT be able to do is see if the combination works with another keyboard if they have a few different models/batches and see if anything changes, but either way, you may be stuck with it.

This website explains it if you care to read:
