Now that you can order the 8700M in the sager NP5790. Any date on when we will be able to preorder this card in the Sager NP9260, or am I just going to have to wait for it to start shipping with the 8700?

    Patience.

The 8700M GT cards should work in both notebooks.

its just that the M570RU is first to get confirmation because its using a single-card set up....

while the D900C can use dual (SLI) cards... but need a bit more time to test the SLI 8700M GT's before announcing it (although there should not be any issues with running a single 8700M GT on the D900C).
