Hey guys, trying to get my 8760 to recognize my sony bravia tv using the hdmi out port and can't seem to get it to "display" or send a signal to the tv. i've moved the hdmi cable from one port to another, didnt work. tried configuring it in the catalyst control center, didnt work. the only time that it would successfully recognize the tv was after restarting the computer, but it still wouldnt display a picture on the tv. any ideas on how to resolve this?

What catalyst version are you running? I had that problem with 10.7, my main monitor is running on HDMI.

I'm using 10.10 and haven't had any problems; 10.8 was buggy for me too. That would be my first suggestion.

Have you tested another HDMI device with the TV? Might not be the laptop. If you connect the laptop to the TV, then power on and it doesn't connect, then that isn't a driver problem.

also, it works properly using a dvi-d to vga adapter and vga cable to the television...would be fine if i could get the 1920x1080 resolution that i know the tv is capable of.
