does anyone know how to get your memory up to above 400 in thrtl level in nibitor? im trying to set all my levels the same because of that bug where 99% of the drivers kick my speed into thrtl settings when there is a 3d window open.

if I set the performance levels to 1 or 2 it still will not let me set 3d mode memory over 400. i get artifacts on screen.

or is there another way to get all your levels to stock ''extra" level?

You can use the powermizer registry hack to make it so your clocks are always running on extra. But your battery power will = teh suck, you'll run hot all the time, and your system won't last as long, but it would do what your looking for.

also make sure that you set the correct voltage for the lower settings as it won't like it if you're trying to run full clocks on reduced voltage...

which powermizer setting are you referring to? I have seen a few options that people have posted about. or if there is a tut somewhere?

I have been messing around with settings. and the force constant performance in rivatuner does not work to fix this.

I think the issue is that the driver is not correctly switching the modes. the only mode that switches is 2d and thrtl. im not sure if you would ever be able to get reg hacks to fix a lower level problen with the driver.

the bios edit does work cuz its lower level then the driver. i think the switching is sill broken, your just changing the values that do switch correctly.

but again if anyone knows how to clone the extra memory values to all the performance levels. upping the voltages to 1 does not seem to have any effecct. the thrtl still trashes the screen over 400 mem.

from what i have heard the 9000s are designed to fix this by functioning in extra mode as the default. then down clocking as needed. who knows what kind of crap switching is in the 8000s. :)
