I'm currently using 167.46, and my GPU's idle temps seem to be bit higher than other people's. It's hovering around 53 degree C (on AC power and auto-fan mode. Ambient temp: 27 C). Can someone recommend me a driver for lower temps?

And I'm getting 10 C lower when I'm on battery. I guess it's due to nVIDIA Powermizer. Does anyone know if it's possible to keep Powermizer settings working when I'm on AC power?

um.... there is no need to bring those temps any lower.

the danger temp for GPUs is around 90C and above.

What machine/os is that you have? And is your pc on a hard surface with enough room for airflow?

As, Gophn said though, don't worry unless it gets uber high.

I have 5793 and I'm running XP. And, yes, it's on a hard surface, wooden desk to be specific. I know the temp is nowhere near the critical level, but I'd think it couldn't hurt to bring the temps down a bit.

At 27C ambient temp, 53 is normal.
Ever since it started getting hot here, my idle temps raised 5C (at 41 from 36C now).

The Zalman is an excellent choice.
