im using 175.75 drivers and so far so good. but i want moreeeee!!! poweerr!! heeheh

just need to figure out how to disable powermizer.. any one know where it is in the nvdia control panel coz i cant find it. i however found this while trawling through other websites

"in Vista change the registry key PerfLevelSrc from x'3333' to x'3322' with regedit. This forces the GPU to run at max when plugged in,

but allows powermizer to still work with batteries.

x'2222' will keep GPU at max on batteries or mains.

The registry key is found in:
    \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{**unique to you for nvidia**}\0000\PerfLevelSrc

Bumping an informative thread. Good to know what versions you are using for bios flashing and the settings you're using for overclocking. And thanks dazzyd for that info. I couldn't find powermizer either.

And if you lack powermizer in the registry, how do you get it in there? I want to downclock, badly.

it has to be in there mate. since you have installed your nvidia drivers. the powermizer settings will be in there

Found them with new drivers, 175.12. One problem less, however, the GPU doesnt seem to downclock as it should, at least not so its possible to see in GPU-z.

    The values I have are:
    powermizerdefault - 3
    powermizerenable - 1
    lowermizerlevel - 3
    powermizerlevelAC - 1

And thoughts on this is right or wrong? And what do the parameters do? There doesnt seem to be any information on what the different settings do.

experiment with them.. either set all of em to zero or only set the one called PerfLevelSrc from '3333' to x'3322' . This forces the GPU to run at max when plugged in,

but allows powermizer to still work with batteries.

x'2222' will keep GPU at max on batteries or mains.

It`s funny, nothing happens. I can change values up and down but there is no change in GPU-Z. The only way I can make changes in clocks is to run powersaver mode in Vista. Other then that, nothing. Can this be a BIOS or Dell related issue?
