the guy already bought a 8800m gtx, it was just a fluke that your card is working again.

Probably, it worked for about 2 weeks, last night I had the blue screen again saying a piece of hardware ended up in an infinite loop...

I was wondering if it could have something to do with physx... I can't seem to figure out how a card that has been in the closet for a year suddenly works again...

I think there must be some other problem, maybe motherboard related or driver... dunno, gonna keep trying today and if it doesn't work ill put it back in the closet for a year :-(

    cheers

Ive been searching the web for the nv4 infinite loop error that's seems to be the reason of these cards and others to fail. What I found is that a RX55 memory register in BIOS is staying open and therefore prevents the computer to boot again as long it is open. Maybe that explains why my card worked again after trying it much later, since I had a bios update in the time between.

I'm not sure if any system builders or manufactures here have notice of this Nv4 infinite loop issue and the conflict in the RX55 memory register in BIOS?

Any help would be great, thanks
