I hope my 900F is not about to die. The laptop has started to refuse to start up when I press the power button to boot up. The blue light around the power button light-up for about 3 or 4 seconds, the hard drives start spinning and then it shuts down. Usually if I do this enough times, eventually, it stays on and boots-up.

Also, when I try to restart/reboot the system instead of a shutting down command, the 900F shuts down anyway, but, like a force crash... I can hear the noise the hard drive's arm retracting and stopping suddenly (this is not a Windows/OS issue as if I use a DOS utility like Norton Ghost and choose a restart, the same happens).

I'm on BIOS 1.03 and never had a problem before. Is there a BIOS upgrade I should try to do? Any other suggestions? I feel like I will get stuck soon with the laptop simply not powering on anymore :(

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

When was the last time you cleaned the dust out of your machine?
