So I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a Sager from Reflexnotebooks! Just have a few questions.

    9130 or 6165?
I've read the reviews and posts on both and the biggest differences appear to be cooling and graphics. Am I right in the assumption that cooling is better on the 9130? Are there other differences?

As for configurations, at the configs I'd like the price difference is about $150 (9130 is higher)
Both laptops have at this point
    - i7 3610
    - 8gigs of RAM
    - Two HDD spots (caddy on 9130, 2nd bay on 6165, intend to install 128-256gb SSD)
    - 500gb 7200rpm HDD
    - Thermal compound (Don't feel confident doing it myself)

However the 6165 is gonna be with the 95% gamut matte screen, don't want glossy, whereas the 9130 is going to be standard matte screen. Will I notice a huge difference and should I get the 95% gamut for the 9130? I'm coming for an HP 16inch 720p screen and it doesn't bother me at all.

After that, is a better wireless card going to make a huge difference? Or is the stock one sufficient for surfing and gaming? Games needing internet would be steam games and D3.

    Thanks in advance :D

been looking to get a Sager as well and read that upgrading the wireless card would help out. I don't need bluetooth so I am going with the Ultimate-N 6300. Not sure on your other question so good luck with that.

Don't forget that the NP9130 has better graphics card...20%-30% improvement over the 650m

I'm was also deciding between the 9130 and the 6165, but found one big drawback to the 6165: turbo boost is disabled when the discrete graphics card is in use. This seems to be due to the fact that the single cooling system for both the CPU and GPU in the 6165 cannot keep the temperatures low enough to prevent throttling if the GPU is being used and CPU the has turbo boost enabled.

Here's a review that discusses the turbo boost issue:

The 9130 would be a better choice if you plan on using it for gaming as it does have the better graphics card.

Regarding the wireless question, upgrading to a 3 antenna card would make a difference as it does have more range and a little better signal than the 2 antenna cards.

Upgrading the wireless card wont increase your internet speeds as even the stock card is 10x faster the most peoples internet connection. They will help transfer speeds within your network as long as your router supports that faster speed.

I just got my NP9130-- been playing D3 on it.

Not gonna lie, this thing is a freakin' Ferrari. Can't believe how fast this baby is. Smokes D3 like nothin'. I haven't tried anything except Diablo 3, but I was able to run Diablo 3 with starcraft 2 minimized, and the computer never even got warm in the slightest bit, even after a few hours. Can't believe how cool this thing runs. Might turn it into a mini-fridge at some point.

My only complaint are the speakers that come with it-- seem sorta weak compared to my last laptop, but decent enough. As for just the sheer power of this thing, like I said, feels like I'm driving a Ferrari. I really like the way it looks, too-- pretty simple looking-- all black and professional looking-- glad it isn't all nerdy looking like the alienware and Qosmio laptops.

    Good luck in deciding!

P.S. did I mention this thing is powerful as $#$%? WOW. Don't burn yourself.

I've heard that the sound issue can be solved by using the bundled THX software. Don't know if this is actually the problem, I still haven't ordered mine yet. Trying to decide whether the backlit keyboard is the worth it to jump up to the 9150.

But, I really can't wait. My current notebook is giving me a solid 12 fps on Diablo, on the lowest possible settings. Or it was... now it can't even find that partition. :(
